Big Finish

A company that produces audio dramas and enhanced audio books, available on CD and download, based on much loved TV series like Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Stargate, Dark Shadows, The Avengers and Highlander. They also produce stories with classic characters such as Sherlock Holmes, Dorian Gray and Phantom Of The Opera. You can also find stories with original characters, like Bernice Summerfield (since 1998!) and many Doctor Who spin-offs like Graceless, Charley Pollard and Counter-Measures.

You can expect quality material from Big Finish, where the actors, writers, directors and editors strive to get the best product out there, by Alison and her amazing mailing team who fight postage price rises and huge demand to make people happy.

Who's involved?
Jason Haigh-Ellery is the chairman and co-executive producer.
Nicholas "voice of the Daleks and almost every other monster in new who" Briggs is co-executive producer as well, and is responsible for all that Big Finish produces, on top of writing, directing and acting where his talent, or a dalek or cyberman is needed.
David Richardson is line producer, and you can hear his voice on the behind the scenes tracks of the Doctor Who releases, interviewing the cast, usually on Companion Chronicles
Paul Spragg deserves a special mention. As production assistant, he works across all the titles released. He, alone, must answer the mammoth amount of enquiries, which has recently come to a head regarding various problems like the collapse of AudioGo (which affected Big Finish because they worked together on the anniversary range Destiny Of The Doctor), the huge demand for Doctor Who around the 50th anniversary and the delay in Bernice Summerfield: Missing Persons (supposed to go out September 2013, then November and finally released very late December!). Give the man a huge hand, and some minions.

Every few weeks, hopefully, Nick and Paul do a podcast, previewing the months releases, and also doing a competition (play the competition music, which Joseph Lidster loves [Sarcasm Sign]). There are also special podcasts that preview specific titles, like Sherlock Holmes or Dark Eyes. Not very often, but sometimes episode one of a Doctor Who story is released free as a podcast, to entice people to sample, then buy if they like it.

Most releases have a trailer, which can be found on the product page. Sometimes due to age, format or other factors, a trailer is not available.
